The Department of Political Science at Late Rajkamalji Bharti Arts,Commerce and Smt.Sushilabai R. Bharti science college,{Autonomous} Arni,is one of the best departments in college.It is dedicated to understanding and explaining Indian politics in the context of current world and domestic issues.The department offers a bachelor’s degree course for rural and semi urban students.Student study the structure of local governments,state government,central government,basic concepts and ideologies in politics,international relations,etc.We practice various learning activities such as seminars,group discussion,projects,debate -clubs,study tours, etc.to increase the analytical skills among the students.The Department prepares the students practice an effective democratic citizenship role.It has a vibrant students association.

The most notable feature of the work of the department is the close and constant association of students and college teachers in various study activities.The faculty members of the department have consciously worked to develop the discipline of political science in Maharashtra and its terminology in Marathi.
